After a truly insane past 48 hours, I am at the gate for the flight that will take me from DC to Germany and then on to COPENHAGEN! Even though I'm sitting here with my boarding pass in hand, I am still in a state of disbelief that everything has come together. There has been no shortage of drama in my preparations. As of 11pm yesterday, the following crises were still slowly unfolding:
 |
| Before and After packing |
1. I didn't have my passport (it was supposedly in the mail).
2. I was missing a medication I need to take with me (all the pharmacies in Maryland were out of it).
3. My suitcases were not fully packed (I had to pack and repack them 3 times).
4. My computer was out of space (though I had visited the Apple store to try to resolve the problem, the process to transfer data wasn't working).

| Passport? Check! |
Miraculously, everything came together! My passport arrived via FedEx at 10:30am, my dad picked up my medication from Virginia (thanks, Dad!), my suitcases are packed, and with the help of AppleCare, my computer has enough space to add the photos I know I will be taking on this trip.
I realized that I will need to provide a little bit of background about my Danish family for anyone who didn't read my last abroad blog. I'll work on that post from the plane, so for now I am going to sign out. See you in Kopenhavn.
