Preview!

The week has flown by without me posting here, so I am doing a quick photo-teaser. Tomorrow (Sunday), Michelle, Alex, and I are going to attempt to do something Alp-related (Funicular? Hiking? Who knows!). Monday, I am flying into London to begin the UK portion of my adventures. Hopefully I will have some time to kill in the airport and on the plane, so that I can write. In the mean time, here the posts you can expect over the next week:

1. Outings with Betty the Bulldog!
Thanks to Michelle's dog-walking job, I've gotten to spend hours and hours hiking the beautiful Swiss countryside
2. Freiburg Friday!
Michelle and I braved public transit, encountered some very unhelpful "information guides," wandered Freiburg during Golden Hour, watched Swiss children in a beautiful park, and encountered numerous difficulties with credit cards/money
3. Alsacean Saturday!
In a word: AMAZING. In a few more words: Tiny little french towns nestled in the mountains; The view from a Castle; FRESH 100% Authentic Fondue
4. A word about Language
What happens when you live in a country that has 3 official national languages, but you don't speak the primary one. In other words, what it's like to be an American (who is used to being understood 100% of the time) in a place where people don't speak English. Examples provided: Encounter at a French hospital/Nursing home, A post office, Bakery, Train station, Street Corner

5. A post on wherever we go tomorrow..... /food/more Basel
