Our final morning in Denmark began earlier than the other's. I was going to be running in a race with Helle, Mira, and Lars' sister (Lene), so we needed to eat in advance. Helle had signed me up to participate in the Smuk Kvindeloeb (Beautiful Women's Run) in Hillerod! I was super pumped!

The race was SO MUCH FUN! There were tons of women from all over DK, ranging in age, shape, and appearance. We jumped around a bit to warm up and then went to line up for the start.

| Are we're off!! |
The majority of the race was on gravel or dirt paths and trails. It could not have been more gorgeous. Obviously I was running so I didn't stop to take pictures, but try to conjure the scene as we ran around castles, lakes, ponds, and streams. There was a gentle mist, making for ideal running conditions.

| Okay, I lied. I did take ONE picture as I ran by |

End of the race! My final time: 29 min 40 seconds... not
breaking any records, but I'm actually really proud. |

The beautiful women in the Hellesen family...
note the castle in the background! |

We piled into the car and sped home. I jumped in the shower while mom printed our boarding passes and Lars loaded the cars. Final preparations were over in a blur and somehow it was time to say goodbye. I got a slight lump in my throat as we drove off, but I know that I will be back so soon!

| The most incredible Danish family to ever exist (in 2012 and today!) |
Although I've finally caught up with our Danish adventures, I haven't even started to share about our experiences in the UK! Let's just say we haven't spent much time sitting down! We've just left London and arrived in Canterbury, so I am not sure when I'll have time to write again. Hopefully by the weekend I will be all caught up. Then, next Monday I finally start my research! More soon <3
